Regional Leader to join IRF Young Professionals Summit

 
 
 



Africa Regional Leader Olufunke Afesojaye will join the IRF Young Professionals Summit on the 26th of September in an online event that will revolve around various strategies to meet the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are relevant to road-based mobility. The theme of the event is “Achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Road Transport.” 

Topics around the Summit will include active transportation, electric vehicles, mass transport systems, road safety, gender equality, disability and social inclusion in road transport, and land use planning and management. 

Olufunke will speak about road safety as a key driver for Sustainable Development as an SDG Champion to the Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety. She will elaborate on why road safety is an engine to meet targets under the Sustainable Development Agenda through the SDG Policy Briefs. 


 
 



The Summit has a diverse line-up of speakers who will talk about how we can drive change toward the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Transport, how we can create strategies that align the SDGs with road-based mobility, and how these efforts can result in healthier and greener futures.
