RESOURCES FROM OUR PARTNERS

The Youth Coalition is connected with different organizations that also provide valuable resources around road safety, sustainability, urban design, health, the Global Goals, and more.

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION

The World Health Organization (WHO) has a database of the most recent studies when it comes to road safety and other fields of development. These select publications have been developed jointly by multiple partner agencies of the UN Road Safety Collaboration or in some cases by individual partner agencies. The publications do not necessarily reflect the views or stated policy of other participating partner organizations, agencies or institutions.

YOURS - Youth for road safety

YOURS - Youth for Road Safety is a global organization that acts to make the world's roads safe for youth. Their Action Kit is the backbone of the work they do to empower young people in road safety. All around the world, youth who have been affected by road traffic crashes or want to take real action have picked up the Action Kit as an effective starting point. Their groundbreaking workshops were built from the concepts in the Action Kit and is given out to every youth that experiences a workshop.

Global Road Safety Partnership: grsp

The Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) have developed a number of practical “how-to-guides” around advocacy campaign planning. It has four main sets. In addition to the general advocacy campaign toolkit, policy implementation campaign toolkit, and media advocacy toolkit, we have also published the GRSP Positioning Papers. The latter are designed to create an understanding of the scale of road traffic deaths and injuries and their linkages to other humanitarian and development issues.

Eastern Alliance for Safe and Sustainable Transport: EASST

The Eastern Alliance for Safe and Sustainable Transport (EASST) is working to save lives and prevent injuries by making road travel safer, greener and more sustainable for future generations. It believes that apart from saving lives, safe roads have a vital role to play in economic development, allowing the safe movement of people and vehicles required for investments, trade, and tourism thereby providing a better quality of life.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
