Why become a youth member?

• You will gain credibility and visibility by becoming an active part of a vast network of worldwide young leaders. People just like you are solving the most pressing issues in their countries, related to safe mobility and its crosscutting issues.

Who can become a member?

• We are looking for young leaders (15-35) that are actively working on contributing to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development related to safe mobility and road safety.

• We welcome those youth who are involved in projects, programmes and activities that have a primary focus on safe mobility, road safety and related fields such as health, sustainable cities, education, climate change and equality.

How can I become a member?

Application for membership to the Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety is open on a rolling basis. There are some steps to follow in order to become a member:

• Adopt and endorse the Global Youth Statement for Road Safety as one of your advocacy tools and guides to achieve your impact goals.

• Fill out the application form with your personal information, motivation and expectations.

• Join us to access the Coalition Resource Library and interact with other members.

AS AN ORGANIZATION

Key steps to join as an organization

Any youth-led and youth-focused organization working on road safety, safe mobility or associated topics are welcome to join the Youth Coalition for Road Safety.

Please note when registering as an organization, one young person should be appointed to represent you. If you would like to have multiple people from the same organization join, please ensure they also register as an organization or under your organization's name.

Key steps to become a member:

• Adopt the Global Youth Statement for Road Safety, as part of your key advocacy tools for youth to take action and approach decision-makers.

• Fill out the application form, including your organization’s information and the details of a point person that will represent your organization’s interests within the Youth Coalition. Ideally, that person should be a junior staff/ young leader (15-35) within your structure.

Your point person will receive invitations to different activities, can lead consultations and other peer-to-peer activities.
