Community Connect 2 is a leadership programme that encourages youth to engage in active citizenship by addressing local civic issues.

It aims to educate young people with awareness about civic issues specially around road safety so that they can work with local decision-makers to improve the civic facilities of the community.

The programme aims to work with a variety of stakeholders, including citizens, local politicians, and the municipal corporation, to improve the city's infrastructure. It’s goal is to encourage youth to engage in active citizenship by addressing local civic issues

ABOUT THE PROJECT LEAD

Pankhuri holds a bachelor's degree in computer science. She is currently the Program Coordinator for the Community Connect vertical at the Blue Ribbon Movement.

She believes that active citizens are necessary for the development of a sustainable community, and that youth are the ones who can make this happen. She enjoys reading and traveling whenever she can. In this fast-paced world, she is learning to slow down.

Blue Ribbon Movement The Blue Ribbon Movement (BRM) is a youth-led movement nurturing leaders on a long-term social change journey, who acts from a systemic understanding of issues. It builds youth leadership through civic action in communities. It comprises of several events, experiments and initiatives thereby creating sustainable urban communities. BRM governs itself through an ongoing deep democracy process of ‘sarv-anumati’ or 100% consent-based decision making. The Community Connect vertical will be led by BRM.
