Project theme: Sustainable, Inclusive and Active Mobility (SIAM) solutions; Speed reduction

BY VALERIA CARRION

“Jóvenes con Calle” (Streetwise Youth) is a youth-led Peruvian initiative that aims to transform urban spaces into safer, more inclusive, and sustainable environments. The project empowers young people through training in road safety and sustainable urban design, community engagement, and direct public space interventions. By combining education, civic action, and participatory design, the initiative enables youth to become active agents of change.

They raise awareness, co-create safer public spaces, and advocate for inclusive urban policies. “Jóvenes con Calle” responds to critical mobility and safety challenges by placing young voices at the center of urban transformation efforts in our communities.
