#ArtforRoadSafety enters second week and features Uganda artist

The #ArtforRoadSafety challenge enters its second week featuring Uganda Artist, Sylar Robert Ssempijja. Robert is a Ugandan dancer, breakdancer, choreographer, and teacher. He is known for using dance and art to tackle cultural issues in his region.

Through artistic intervention, the #ArtforRoadSafety challenge will get more young people to advocate for road safety in their areas and communities in exciting and creative ways. Robert is one of the three African artists and influencers who are creating content to raise awareness on road safety issues around speed limits and proper helmet use.

Robert, our artist for the second week, focuses his message on the importance of wearing helmets. He is raising awareness on how the proper use of helmets can prevent the road-deaths of motorcycle drivers and passengers in Uganda. His message, “Protect your head. Save lives”.
