The call is open! 🚀 Local Actions 2025 is here to give young changemakers the chance to design and implement grassroots projects that tackle some of the most pressing road safety and mobility challenges.
This year’s programme kicked off on Monday, 24 March, with the live session “Become the Next Local Actions Winner!”—a space where young leaders learned exactly how to create a strong proposal, avoid common mistakes, and get insider tips from past winners who turned their ideas into action. If you couldn’t join live, you can watch the full recording here.
Now, it’s your turn. If you have a bold idea that can make mobility safer, more inclusive, and sustainable, this is your chance to bring it to life. Every project must focus on one key challenge: expanding safe walking, cycling, and public transport options; addressing risks for young motorcyclists through helmet use, protective gear, and stronger regulations; or advocating for 30 km/h speed limits and safer urban design to protect pedestrians and cyclists.
Choose Your Focus: What Challenge Will You Tackle?
Every Local Action project must address one of the following key themes:
🚶‍♂️ Sustainable, Inclusive, and Active Mobility (SIAM): Making walking, cycling, and public transport safer and more accessible.
🏍️ Motorcycle Safety: Reducing risks for young riders by promoting helmet use, protective gear, and stronger enforcement of safety regulations.
⚡ Speed Reduction: Advocating for 30 km/h speed limits, implementing traffic-calming measures, and raising awareness about speed-related risks.
If your project aligns with one of these areas, this opportunity is for you!
