DATA FOR RESILIENT ROADS
by Valeria Belén Cerpa Salas from peru
The project "Data for Resilient Roads" aimed to develop a web tool that enabled the visualisation of interactive maps, dashboards, and statistical information to ensure the resilience of roads in the city of Arequipa.
The maps and dashboards were based on selected avenues and roads in the city that were established under previous research and participatory workshops carried out in collaboration with partner organisations and stakeholders. The web tool was completed through mapping and data analysis of these areas.
The project worked under the axes of road crash risks, traffic points, and citizen insecurity. The results were presented to stakeholders, which included civil society, in a closing event in the city of Arequipa as part of an awareness campaign for the resilience of roads in Arequipa, Peru.
