NO TE DISTRAIGAS

BY Ezzie Naidich FROM ARGENTINA

Inspired by a Youth Consultation, Ezzi and her team designed and proposed #NoTeDistraigas (“Don’t Get Distracted”), a campaign focused on raising awareness about the dangers of distracted driving. Recognising that phone use among drivers had risen significantly during the pandemic, the team worked to advocate for stricter government enforcement against mobile device use while driving.

#NoTeDistraigas was an awareness and agenda-setting campaign that centered on three main actions: creating four short social media videos to be shared by local influencers, hosting a "distractions game" in public spaces, and engaging with Buenos Aires policymakers to push for tighter regulations. Through monthly activities and webinars, the project aimed to fill a gap in road safety, with the team believing their efforts could ultimately help save lives.
