The Coalition is launching its fourth capacity development session next Wednesday, February 24 at 3 PM CET. The fourth session will be an introduction to star rating for schools (SR4S).

SR4S is a program launched by YOURS – Youth for Road Safety and iRAP – International Road Assessment Program – to train young road safety leaders to assess and rate zones or roads around schools, universities, and other educational institutions.

The session will be led by Master Trainers, Alex Ayub, Daniel Cano, Jacob Smith, Shantel Jacobs, and Minh Vo with Star Rating for Schools Global Coordinator, Rafaela Machado.

Members of the Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety are invited to join our Master Trainers as they introduce the ‘Youth Stars’ programme and concepts behind SR4S.

Learn from our Master Trainers as they discuss key elements that make up the SR4S methodology and how you can use this powerful tool locally. After the introduction session, you will have the chance to become a certified Youth Star that is able to assess the full spectrum of Star Rating coding for schools through an innovative online programme.

Are schools or universities in your area unsafe to get to? Do you wish you knew how you could make the commute to school safer for students? Did you know that simple road design elements can take a 1* road to a 3* road and more? And you don’t need to be a road engineer to know how to map this!

Register for our session today!
