Last week, February 5, the Coalition launched the second round of its capacity development series on project management as a way to introduce the project management cycle to more members and help them build their proposals for Local Actions.

The capacity development session was a repeat of the first session on project management that was held last 4 December 2020. The second round of the session was for members who were unable to attend the first one. The capacity development series only accepts forty (40) official Coalition members at a time to make sure that all concerns and questions are addressed.

The session was designed to help members create strong project plans for their Local Actions submissions.

Local Actions is an invitation for official members of the Coalition to send in original, impactful, and innovative projects to address the most urgent needs and commitments for road safety in their community as outlines in the Global Youth Statement for Road Safety.

Through the capacity development session on project management, members were guided on how to begin the project. The session gave members tips on where to gather credible road safety information and guided them on how to build strong goals and objectives.

The session was led by YOURS – Youth for Road Safety Executive Director, Floor Lieshout.
