MEET THE ROAD SAFETY AMBASSADORS

The Road safety Ambassadors are the youth leaders in-charge of organising the 3rd World Youth Assembly for Road Safety happening in Marrakech, Morocco on February 2025.

In their roles, the Ambassadors will shape messages about the global youth movement to other fields; recruit youth for the movement; engage media to highlight the role of youth; use your voice to amplify campaign messages, facilitate onstage during the Assembly, potentially including emceeing speeches, trainings, panels, or exhibit, or other public speaking, and advocate to government and global decision-makers for the sustainable mobility agenda, potentially including as a speaker at the WHO Global Ministerial Conference

 

 

MEET MOUNIR KHAMALI

Mounir Khamali was born in Casablanca in 1993 and is a social project executor with a bachelor's degree in fashion from Kadi Ayad University of Marrakech. Although his academic background is in fashion, Mounir has specialized in social work and art, focusing on community development and leadership.

Since 2020, he has worked with the Pikala Bikes Foundation, where he developed and led a comprehensive road safety program for children aged 7 to 14. His extensive research and analysis on road safety in Morocco have contributed to a program that has reached over 6,000 children across various cities.

Through Pikala, Mounir has collaborated with key partners such as the FIA Foundation, DHL, Decathlon and Grand Atlas Foundation to expand the program’s impact. He has also trained more than 70 youth to become community road safety influencers and organised significant public events that raise awareness and promote safer roads for all.
