WHAT are LOCAL ACTIONS
A Local Action is a short-term or mid-term grassroots action project oriented to address the most pressing Road Safety issues in your community.
The project should translate proposed actions into tangible initiatives to achieve the Global Youth Statement for Road Safety, have a clear connection with the Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030, and establish a clear connection with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Projects must be conceived, led, and implemented by young people taking active leadership in their communities to contribute to reducing road traffic crashes and injuries with creative, innovative and sustainable solutions.
They must also be focused on one or more of the four priorities:
Advocacy for Policy Change
Community Mobilisation & Awareness
Improving cities’ infrastructure and public spaces
Innovation, Data and Technology
