SAFE SCHOOL ZONES PROJECT

BY ALEX AYUB FROM KENYA

Safe School Safe Zones Project aims to provide evidence-based data, through an inclusive and participatory process, to inform decision-makers on areas that need improvement around learning institutions. It also advocates for improvements to be made to make roads safer for students.

It further provides a platform for school communities to engage with local leaders, authorities, and other stakeholders to promote safe road usage by motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.

The project goal is to contribute to the reduction of children related road traffic incidences and improved school zones in Nairobi by 2022.
