The IRF Young Professionals Program provides a platform for the next generation of leaders and specialists in the road and mobility sector where they can propose initiatives, share ideas, and engage with overall activities of the IRF.

To join the program, applicants sent out a letter of intent between September and October last 2020.

Once they were selected, the IRF sent candidates an online form for their background and experiences.

To be part of the leadership team, accepted candidates of the IRF program had to send in their professional credentials while also presenting their motivations for leadership and road safety. The final four were chosen after an interview with IRF representatives.

The Young Professionals Program follows the mission of IRF to present the road safety and mobility sectors as a multidisciplinary area for the development of young professionals from various backgrounds.

Tendekayi is a civil engineer working in Harare, Zimbabwe, Ray works as a senior economic development specialist at the National Economic and Development Authority in the Philippines, and Shashank works as a director at Ekak Innovations.

Tendekayi, an advocate of 50 by 30, writes that he firmly believes that as YP we can achieve greatness, emphasizing that it is only possible if we work together, support each other, bring new ideas and most importantly Implement them.

β€œThis is for smarter and safer roads! ”
