Launch of the Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety

The youth have always been powerful allies for change. The 2nd World Youth Assembly (WYA) for Road Safety, held last 18 February 2020, highlighted the youth’s capacity for meaningful involvement through their energy, intelligence, and passion when faced with global decision-makers. 

 

The WYA solidified the youth’s desire to join and work under a larger Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety that allows members to connect, exchange knowledge and resources, and gather support for projects and other initiatives. 

Through the efforts of the Youth for Road Safety – YOURS and the Global Youth Task Force turned Youth Advisory Board (YAB), the Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety has been realized and established. 

The Global Youth Coalition will officially be launched on the 7th of July 2020 at 3pm Central European Time (CET).  

The Global Youth Coalition will provide its members with resources, capacity development tools, and partnership opportunities that will aid evidence-based actions and solutions aimed at supporting safe roads and safe mobility on both local and global fields. 

The official launch will be streamed through the WYA Facebook page and will feature the YAB and partners from the World Health Organization (WHO), Restless Development, and Total Foundation.
