1. Where are you connected right now? Tell us about the work you're doing.
I am presently situated in Tetouan City, Morocco. I am pursuing a Ph.D. program focusing on road safety. I also hold the position of a manager at a driving school.

2. How did you first get involved in road safety and how long have you been working in the road safety and sustainable mobility field?
My first encounter with road safety was through my father's involvement with the field. His work instilled in me a deep appreciation and fondness for this area of expertise. As a result, I’ve been working in the road safety field for approximately seven years.

3Can you tell us a little about your area's road safety and sustainable mobility situation?
In our country, the incidence of fatal accidents is alarmingly high with a staggering count of over 3,500 fatalities each year. The issue of congestion is also prevalent in our region, which only exacerbates the situation of fatal road crashes.

4. Why do you think it's important to include young people in local and global road safety efforts?

I think it's important to include young people in local and global road safety efforts because young people are often disproportionately affected by road crashes. By involving them in road safety initiatives, we can help them become more aware of the risks and dangers associated with reckless driving, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make safer decisions on the road. Young people also bring a fresh perspective to road safety efforts. They are often more tech-savvy and adept at using social media platforms, which can be leveraged to promote safe driving practices and raise awareness about the importance of road safety. By tapping into their creativity and enthusiasm, we can develop innovative solutions to address road safety challenges.
